Description

A pleasant tour of Bergen with Merete. I am Norwegian and have lived in Bergen for over 20 years. I speak Portuguese and English fluently and am ready to show you my city—from the most famous sights to local streets steeped in history. We'll visit Bryggen and learn about the dried cod trade that made Bergen one of the most important commercial cities in Europe in the Middle Ages. At Fisketorget, you'll experience the vibrant atmosphere of the market, featuring fish, seafood, and typical Norwegian products. Along the way, I'll show you the traditional wooden houses and the modern city center, while sharing stories about Bergen during World War II and about the city as the musical birthplace of Edvard Grieg. All this and more on a unique experience, where you can ask as many questions as you like about Bergen, Norway, and local life. It will be a pleasure to meet you!
